I have searched for an answer but not really clear..................my 64 plate Tekna 1.5 TDI is coming up for a year old in september and the dealership has emailed me about the 1st service. I thought the indicater on the dash read !8,000 or two tears ie a long service? Dealer says its 18,000 or a year which ever is sooner. Maybe its because my SEAT LEON didnt service till 18.000 miles that in confused..............any data would be helpful ....cheers.

Andrew, take a look in your Service Book where you get the Stamps for the Service & 10 Year Paint Checks. We have the 1,2 Tekna and ours goes in on the 5th for its 1st Service ( 1 year). The Service Book states for our QQ "every 12 months or 20,000 Kms" (12,500 Miles). Ours has only done 5700 Kms but it will still go in and we did change the Oil & Filter @ 2000kms just in case there was something floating around from new - Dave

Andrew, there was a couple of Topics on the Forum Named "Service Intervals & Engine Oil Service" and it was confirmed on one exactly as your Dealer stated "12 months or 18,000 miles" for the Diesel QQ - Dave

And you get the s/ware updates all added too, if you haven't been in interim Your reference to "tears" refers to size of bill presumably!

DAVE........that includes a E VISION health check on the car too. Says they video anything that needs looking at and send you a video of it. Got to get your £129 worth + anything they can find wrong. I dont get it as my settings says i have 13,000 until the service ? Oils these days dont need changing like they did 30 years back. As i said before my SEAT LEON counted down from 18,000 miles or 800 days which ever came soonest on your driving style like lots of stop starts or longer if motorway driving. Seeems NISSAN could learn alot from VW.

I paid £200 for 3 year Nissan service plan when the car was purchased and the first service cost me nothing, no extras or anything else. Very please with the deal.
