Hi folks,

My J11 QQ is now 2yrs old. The service book is missing any info on service intervals - I suspect someone forgot to stick the right sticker in. I know it's 18,000 or 1 year for each service - but can't find concrete information on when it should be major, when minor and what other mileage-related or age-related items are required (e.g. at 5yrs / 60,000 miles, etc.).

I've searched the forum extensively but haven't found a reliable source for this info. My concern is that our first year service was a major (inc. brake fluid, etc.)... so I'm wondering if this next one should be a minor. Or, did the dealer mess up (or deliberately perform more expensive work) last year and we now need another major...?

I can't quite believe how difficult it is to find this info(!)... You'd think Nissan GB would have it clearly available on their website.

Can anyone help with a scan/copy of the schedule, or a link to it online please?

Thanks,

Bobsta

Hope this helps, although it is specific to Switzerland or the rest of Europe, hence kilometers :-

My service booklet mentions a service every 30K kilometers(àpprox. 18K miles) or 1 year (whichever is earlier). The 1st service was minor, the second major. Therefore every odd numbered service is minor and even numbered one is major. This is for a 1.5dCi, I assume it is the same for 1.6dCi, but don't know for the petrol versions.

Since so many people seem to have this missing from pages 18-19 of the maintenance record, I scanned the schedule from my 1.6 dCi CVT. Hopefully this will help those of you with diesels, and I believe petrol is a similar maintenance schedule but at 12k and 24k miles.

As you can see, not much is actually changed at the first service except oil and filter. It's the second service that's major.

The "timing chain" inspection on the 1.6 will be a timing belt on the 1.5, perhaps more frequently.

As Hound has mentioned the Information is in the Service Maintenance Book. Our's is the 1,2 engine and funnily enough our information is on Pages 4 & 5 and these are Stuck In additions. I have not copied these as they are in the German Language. Service Intervals are 12 months - 20,000 Kms (12,500 miles) / 24 months - 40,000 Kms (25,000 miles) - Dave

My first service was today and I got a Vehicle Health Check, which is an e-mailed 12-second video of my number plate and a technician saying the car had been inspected and there was nothing wrong with it, and a computer generated document somewhat briefer than Gel's, but still covering the main check groups. (And a nice "You+Nissan" checklist folder to put it in)

Thanks Hound, appreciate the info. Mine is a 1.5dci manual so there will be some variance but it's quite clear how the minor and major should run. Looks like we were "upsold" on last year's service although no harm done.

Unfortunately pages 18-19 of my maintenance book are completely blank, so thanks for sharing.

my warranty book was completely blank , the dealer sent me some stickers on request , but no schedules.

i am told nissan dont put them in the book now , list of service points are obtainable from a dealer .

i dont think much of it either.
