Hi All,
Just received a recall notice from Nissan.
My car is a Qashqai Nov 2015 1.5dci.
Notices reads:
"Nissan has identified that in conditions such as high speed and high vehicle loading the rear wheel arch protector may deform and contact the brake hose. Over time repeated contact could, in an extreme case, wear a hole in the hose. This then cause a brake fluid leak".
Blah, blah.
Not sure if this has been posted before as I cannot find anything.
Anyone else had this recall notice.
Cheers
Bobby

I'm still waiting for this recall notice. It doesn't show on the DVLA's website. As far as I know it hasn't had the rear oxygen sensor issue sorted, either, as detailed in the recall that IS on the site. I'm reluctant to let the Stealer mess with the car though!
Used to have 2015 1.6dCi 130 Xtronic N-tec+ in Gun Metallic
When I was in booking in my call for the above recall I asked about the previous recall for the rear oxygen sensor.
I have never had this done and asked why.
After a bit of raking about by the tech guy I was told that this did not apply to my call because it is a 1.5dci and only applied to the 1.6 engine.
Does anyone know if this is the case?
Thanks
Bobby

I have found the "recall" letters are also shown in your You & Nissan profile.

Gel, our German Website for You+Nissan is exactly the same "Zero"
There always seems to be questions on the "Recalls" and I found a few breakdowns on the Problems that might interest some members. I hope this is not a repeat or Overkill, I found them very imformative - Dave

Got the recall letter about 10 days to a fortnight ago, can't quite remember when, they will likely be done in batches particularly if it's a high volume recall I'd guess.
The recall for the "1.6" almost certainly relates to the petrol version, which is probably why those with the diesel have never seen anything. Not unknown for diesels to have O2 sensors but the description above sounds to me like the typical post catalyst closed loop O2 sensor setup seen on most petrol engines. 7000 odd vehicles over 4 model ranges over a 14 month production period is a pretty low volume too,so I'm willing to bet on it being the 1.6 DIG-T unit.
