I will have to replace my 12 volt Battery at my expense. Nissan custumer service will not accept responsibility even though I have had to make 2 visits to the dealer following 2 call outs to the RAC to get me started. Can anyone recomend a reasonably priced replacement suitable for this car.

You need EFB battery type, make sure you don't buy any other.
PS: It shouldn't be a case to get replacement covered under warranty. Try another dealer. Also, check what tool your dealer used to analyze it as the old tool was unable to conclude health of S/S compatible batteries (EFB or AGM).

I should challenge that with Nissan HO, as if you search here many members were found to have had faulty batteries fitted and they have been replaced under warranty.
Either way you're well within the 3 year Warranty period, and to my knowledge they can't pick & choose what to cover.

Just the sort of thing to embarrass them by Tweeting as well @NissanUK.
