Centre console 12v power supply not working

Postby nissandan » Thu Feb 16, 2017 7:02 pm

Hi all,

Just picked up my 65 plate QQ and my little darlings want their DVD player plugged in. Plugged the 12v connector into the 12v socket in the centre console and get no power at all. The front 12v socket works fine.

I have seen some posts say that the centre console one only works with ignition on so i have ensured engine is running and still nothing.

The fuses are a ball ache but cant locate which fuse would be for the 12v in centre console. Found one for the front and the fuse is all good.

Please help so I dont have to run the horrific cable from the back of car into front 12v power supply.

Thanks

It's the fuse indicated as "Power Socket" in the fuse labelling.

That makes it the second fuse from top left.

Where did you get the fuse list from?

Are the 4 fuses at the bottom (circled 15 in purple) spare?

It's imprinted on the back of the panel they show being removed in the owner's manual to access the fuse panel -- which you'd only bother to do if you have a LHD car, though, because on RHD cars Nissan have hidden the fuses away behind the glovebox!

I'd have been apoplectic and back at the dealer demanding they get it sorted whilst I wait

Thanks for your help. I was mistaken with the location. I thought the centre console was the armrest section. So the armrest one is the 12v cig lighter. Switched with the spare 15 fuse and works all good. Thanks

Your dealer should be doing this for free, they have a responsibility to supply you with a vehicle "fit for purpose", don't buy a fuse get them to fit the manufacturer's original
