On my 2016 QQ (1.5) which I collected yesterday, I notice the foot rest is very slippy plastic and my shoe keeps slipping.
Anyone recommend if there are footrest covers or something I attach to the footrest so I can get non-slip grip?

Beetroot42, you should search the websites for these if you want reasonable price ones, eBay, Amazon, AliExpress for example. We have on our LH 2014 QQ from new the Nissan Sports Pedals & Foot Rest Kit which although I thought were expensive have done the job well - take a look around but be careful on the quality as the Pedals make you go faster and stop you

Could be that when the car was prepped a silicone based spray/ liquid was applied to make it look shiny and new.
Give it a clean with some soapy water. It may do the trick
