Got a 57 plate J10 - Horn only intermittently works (only when my steering wheel is on full lock) - Searching on t'interweb it seems to point a "Clock Spring" issue but my airbag light is not lit up which appears to be a standard symptom to indicate the clock spring needs replacing - Any ideas if it could still be the clock spring even though the airbag light is not lit ?

Guessing nobody knows then ? Looks like it's a £300 fix from a Nissan garage, maybe £150+ from a normal garage so I might have to take a punt on buying a second hand 'Squib ring' for £20 and fitting it myself to see if that fixes it - Seems to be a bit of faffing around to do, maybe an hour for someone less skilled like me ? In the YouTube video the guy does it in 30 mins....
