Re: OBD Readers
thanks all, found my old one in the old mk4 golf so grabbed that and used it with the Torque app that I had bought a few years back and it worked well enough to get me the codes and allow me to clear them

Re: Failed fuel injector
similar issue with the mrs car, but no skid light, and p0202 error, cleared and it went away, will grab some injector cleaner and throw that into the tank. Also some people have had issues with the connectors going to the ECU getting slightly corroded, so may be worth cleaning them as well.

Re: Orange / Amber Check Engine Light
thanks all, read the codes and got P0202 - injector issue, cleared the code and it went away, but need to take it for a good long drive to make sure - no performance issues when it did come up which suggests it could be the connector needing cleaning, so if it reoccurs I'll try cleaning first before...

Orange / Amber Check Engine Light
This popped up the other day as we were on our way out, car's driving perfectly fine, but the orange/amber light is on steady and wouldn't go off after turning the car off and on again. I've not checked it since saturday, but any thoughts on what it may be? I need to plug in to check the codes its t...

Re: J10 DPF problems
DPF common problem with the QQ - its not made well, the car needs a good regular motorway session at 3000 revs or above to get it hot enough to clear it but it doesn't always work. DPF issues will keep happening, you can replace but the DPF is just rubbish on this car full stop so will happen again ...

OBD Readers
Guys any recommendations on which one to get to just check and clear fault codes - for a Nissan QuashQai 2012 1.5dci.
I've had a search on the forum but can't find any recent recommendations on working ones.

Thanks, I've booked it in with the local mechanics who are going to take a look, hoping its just the thermostat, as its not a majorly expensive fix.

Re: 2012 1.5 Dci - Engine not coming upto temp
Thank you for the welcome, I'd say cool, but the temperature gauge is not showing the car is overheating. I'd think its the thermostat as I've had exactly the same type of issues on my old MK 4 Golf TDI, each time it was a stuck thermostat. If it is the thermostat what do people recommend it is repl...

2012 1.5 Dci - Engine not coming upto temp
Hello all, new to the forum, this is the wife's car she's owned for the past five years, its been ok, apart from the DPF issues blocking all the time - which has been sorted now. The issue I noticed is that the temperature gauge doesn't move from around 1/3 of the way up, and It is my belief that it...
