It Is fairly easy to do yourself if you're confident with tools. It's just a case of removing the airbag and the steering wheel. I had to do mine as the cruise control would disengage, the horn wouldn't work properly and some of the steering wheel buttons wouldn't work.

So after changing the clock spring, i now have a functioning horn and steering wheel controls.

The ball joints can be pressed out and replaced but the arm has to come out for that to happen anyway. I think its more cost/time effective to just replace the whole arm anyway.

Hi all, so the wifes 2007 QQ failed the mot on the horn not working. Something i had totally forgot about. It used to work only on full lock right but now has totally given up. I have checked connections on the horn etc and all seems fine. Would i be right in thinking that the clock spring will hope...
