Re: seat belt doesnt retract automatically

Try pulling it all the way out - with the car stationary , and lightly spray some silicone onto the black webbing.
Then wipe it and see how it retracts.
However if the webbing is starting to fray , then this will hinder the retraction and also be an MOT fail

Re: Clutch replacement 4th time in 4 years/33000km

Even resting a foot on the clutch pedal when the car is in motion can cause premeture wear. Interestingly , is the release bearing worn too ? Personally - if you are convinced its not driver error - then I would be questioning the clutch actuation and hydraulics. Is the clutch cover actually releasi...

Re: Unconnected connector in the boot (trunk)

As the latest incarceration of the N Motion is now replacing the Tekna I believe , then its not unreasonable to expect the manufacturer to use what is left of suitable wiring looms.
There might be other plugs not used if one cared to dig deep enough

Re: Unconnected connector in the boot (trunk)

Picture please , it could be the loom that was fitted to the Tekna model where the Bose sound system was installed.
This could be the Sub Woofer loom

Re: What is the cause of the low res cameras picture?

My J11 N-Connecta had an acceptably sharp picture for what its intended to be used for, so long as they are cleaned very regularly

Re: To buy or not to buy...

Ive just had an N-TEC 160 auto for a week as my new Tekna was in the dealership yet again , and is due to go again in January. Time to get rid - but thats another tale. Agreed - the auto box was nice , very slick, however 2 points for me : The car was much thirstier than my 160 manual Tekna , and wh...

The 1.3 engine in 160bhp guise is fantastic - powerful and fairly frugal if treated right

Re: Wanted - 18inch Qashqai wheels

Hi Dave many thanks for your reply. I have considered a set of J11 wheels , and as long as they are straight , then I was going to paint them if scuffed. May I ask regarding the aftermarket wheels you bought , did you transfer over the Nissan tyre monitoring valves , or do you put up with a warning ...
