I did, but in response to the problem of it not starting to eliminate air leaks. If I disconnect the return pipe from the pump, diesel sprays out, so the pump is pumping. The pressure regulator / suction control valve isn't getting a signal. It has 12v but no ground.

Hello. I have a 2012 Quashqai 1.5 diesel. When I put the key in and turn to start, nothing happens. The immobiliser light stays lit steady red. If I leave it for about 15 minutes with the ignition on, the light goes out and the engine will turn over but only once. Has anybody else seen this?

Yes. I think you're right. If the engine was being shut down by the ECU I'd expect I'd expect it to throw a code.

I've not yet checked that for a supply, but I did consider the fuel pump, as I've never heard it making the whirring noise. Why it has one as well as a priming bulb... God only kno...

Hello. My 2012 Quashqai 1.5 dci starts, fires for about a second and cuts straight out. Try again, it does the same. The only fault code is a glow plug circuit code, which has always been there. Has anybody else experienced this?
