Re: Is it O2 sensor? 1.6 petrol DIG-T 2016
Just little update. My Post cat O2 sensor stopped responding at all (Permanent 1.250V on the scanner tool) Nissan told me that 2 years ago had a bulletin/Update which sensor needs to be put on, so as you can see on the pictures serial numbers are different (faulty sensor is the dirty one obv.). Sens...

Re: Is it O2 sensor? 1.6 petrol DIG-T 2016
Just to clarify… If the stop/start is off when the error occur, check engine light does not come up, but only stop/start not functioning message appear. If stop/start is active when error occur then check engine light comes on. Normally I delete the fault codes after work and leave the car overnight...

Re: Is it O2 sensor? 1.6 petrol DIG-T 2016
Hi Guys, I don't want to open another topic so will use this one. I have check engine light on Fault codes P0037 P0138 (post cat O2 sensor) Plugged the diagnostic tool straight away and I saw O2 sensor innactive (1.25V on hot engine) Deleted the fault code and all good for a week, then pop up again(...

Re: 2008 Acenta 1.6 petrol 5 speed gearbox
Many gearbox reconditioning companies say that they replace bearings based on inspection and need, however I don’t think that you can do much of inspection when the gearbox is off the vehicle. What I’m trying to say is reconditioned gearbox is nothing, unless you recondition your own gearbox. I woul...

Re: What oil do I need?
I do agree that 5W30 and 5W40 are interchangeable as the difference is minimal unless you are using your car for racing. I did use both on my previous car and never felt any difference ( Vauxhall VVT engine is very sensible to oil qualities ). I'll be changing my oil in the next 2-3 months and I thi...

Re: Qashqai won't start after being driven.
My post above assumed that the engine is not firing, but only turning on starter
If your engine doesn't turn over (starter doesn't engage and turn), we are speaking about different issues...

Re: Qashqai won't start after being driven.
If you have some scanner tool, I would suggest to check Coolant temperature sensor and Crankshaft/Camshaft position sensor when engine is hot… That’s purely from my experience with Vauxhall. If diesel engine doesn’t start only when it’s hot it must be a sensor, unless you have high mileage car where...

Re: Red Oil Light Permently Illuminated
I would recommend to go to mechanic as he can check oil pressure and cables in case you have short circuit causing light on.
Normally the oil pump is designed to outlive the engine, but who knows, good mechanic will always check to make sure…
I don’t know the position.
