Phil, you are a STAR. The noise is gone I opened and closed the bonnet and hay-presto sorted.

Thanks for that Phil, I've just got back from dealership and nobody there could help! Will get a call from their technician tomorrow. BUT, I will look at bonnet etc and see if it helps.

Hi Pandjh, That is the problem... an alarm sounding for 28 seconds! I accept that some might say its not that long for the security of a new(ish) car but I'm thinking of neighbours and those that could / would be asleep when I get home late. I know it would annoy me... as it does already, 28 seconds...

I have to admit, it's not something I've noticed on any other Qashqai's before when they've parked in carparks etc. Fingers crossed for that someone who will be able to help
