Re: Speaker upgrade

Sorry, I just saw your reply - yes, you need the adaptors for both front and rear

Re: Speaker upgrade

£55 seems expensive to my mind, it'll take them an hour at most. If you do get them to fit, make sure you test a variety of music before you drive away - rattles and vibrations will present themselves at different frequencies, and really after a professional fitting you shouldn't expect any except p...

Re: Speaker upgrade

They would work in the rear just fine, and you could fit them in the front if you're not confident about fitting speakers with separate tweeters. If you're feeling confident (it's not hard, bit takes more time and thought) then fit these at the front https://www.halfords.com/technology/car-audio/car...

Re: Speaker upgrade

6.5 inch speakers, front and rear. The fronts will have separate tweeters too so ideally you'd get a set of 'component' speakers which have the tweeter separate from the main speaker for better positioning options. You'll also need speaker adaptors like these from Connects2 in order to mount the mai...

1.5dci intake pipe 'knock'

I've searched and found this is a common issue with the 1.5dci and plenty of posts suggesting cable ties to fix, but not saying how exactly. Can anyone give me a quick guide as to where/how to cable tie the pipe to stop the infuriating knock at low revs?

Re: Rear window switches don't work, but windows open from master switch

I haven't got around to testing the voltages yet, but I've been looking at the workshop manual for the j10 and in the 'PWC' section, the wiring diagram suggests that the signal for the rear windows is sent from the master unit to the rear window switch, and then to the motor. If that's the case, I p...

Re: Rear window switches don't work, but windows open from master switch

You'll need to check if 12v and/or ground is supplied to the rear door power window switches. The Nissan diagnostics list only these faults: Switch Motor Wiring and plug/sockets The driver switch lock function actually removes the ground (earth) feed from the pax/rear switches...thus disabling them...

Re: Rear window switches don't work, but windows open from master switch

Does the front passenger window work from its door switch? Power is supplied to the 4 doors from the BCM (Body Control Module). Power feed is separate (wired) to the Driver door...so the other 3 are common on another wire. Front passenger switch works just fine Are you certain the safety lock switc...

Rear window switches don't work, but windows open from master switch

As per the title, I can use the drivers master switch to open and close both rear windows, but the switches on the rear doors don't work. I suspected a faulty 'lock' button on the master switch so got a replacement unit, but no change. I've checked the rear switches, and they are definitely connecte...
