Re: Radio auto on/off

Further to the intermittent problem of radio/dash not powering off when the driver's door is opened - this happened to me. I discovered that the power off function is controlled by a simple micro switch (with a soft rubber cover) located on the central door pillar. I cleaned this up and hey presto n...

Whilst in car and radio on press the power button and keep it held until you see the Nissan emblem , must reset the unit . Now all ok again radio goes off when stopped and door opened .
I had the same issue and this worked for me. Thank you.

Re: Fog lamp lense smashed

The prices quoted were inclusive of VAT. Notwithstanding that, the price for the replacement of the lamp is still extortionate however it is calculated. There is guidance online and a workshop manual available for the pre 2017 facelifted version but not for the post face-lifted version. The earlier ...

Re: Fog lamp lense smashed

Hi Apologies if this isn’t the correct place to post this. I just wanted to share my experience with a smashed front fog lamp on my 2017 Qashqai as there is virtually nothing online that helped. My car is the facelifted version with the rectangular shaped lamps. I noticed the smashed glass when I wa...

Re: J11 Servicing intervals

There appears to be two threads going on here so I've posted my thoughts on both.... Legislation known as the European Block Exemption prevents dealers insisting you have the car serviced by them. However, if you use an independent garage you must ensure that they follow the manufacturer's service s...

Legislation known as the European Block Exemption prevents dealers insisting you have the car serviced by them. However, if you use an independent garage you must ensure that they follow the manufacturer's service schedule to the letter (obviously) but equally importantly that you have written proof...

Re: TPMS and wheel change

Also not sure what you mean. When I had a new tyre fitted following a puncture, the TPMS reset itself within a minute or so of driving off from the tyre fitters.

Re: Left hand stork with lights functions on it

Mmmm, just checked the size again of my O ring and it's definitely 33mm internal. Thinking about it though, I suppose it could have stretched in the 18 months since fitting so may have started out with a smaller dimension. I just used the best fit from the toolbox.

Re: Left hand stork with lights functions on it

This was a constant problem for me when I first bought the car. As others have mentioned, there wasn’t enough resistance to prevent accidental operation. Thanks to a tip from another member, I fitted a rubber O ring over the first (left-hand) groove and hey presto, problem solved. Very simple but ve...

Re: Replacement windscreen

Should have mentioned that this was a stone impact at high speed on the M25 so no defect in my case.
