I've had this. Steering Column was lubricated, came back again in a couple of weeks - lubricated again then again twice and has been OK for about12 9 months but signs recurrence now .

Could be due to a low battery problem. I have the same and my battery is showing a low voltage. But after start and driving a bit problem goes away

What does this mean Not familiar with these terms. Should I pass this info to garage when ai take it in. Also the adjacent parking sensor switch sometimes switches on and off on its own.

Left car all night unlocked. Battery voltage ok at v12.2 in morning. Think my problem was tail gate not properly shut. This leaves the boot light on with potential to drain battery

I noticed a slight drop I voltage between locked and unlocked. Since my battery failure I have always locked the car. A morning check shows V12.2 but I have not left it unlocked overnight for comparison

Suggested that leaving car with out locking can drain battery. Checked today - with door locked battery was V 12.22 Unlocked car and V fell to 12.08V so some draining is taking place. Will continue my investigation

My battery went flat despite using every day. Car is only 18 months old and with all my previous cars I have never had a flat battery for at least 40 years. Is there a problem ?

Sorry if this is a repeat of previous reply that may not have been sent. Am waiting on new gearbox. Hope it lasts longer than some others. After third gearbox should the car not be declared unfit for purpose and returned to dealer for a refund
