Same with me on 26/07/2016. mileage 9458. Car loaded up to go to the council tip in Leatherhead - Non Start. All the dash instruments going crazy. RAC analysis - Excessive drain rate and battery (Fiamm) failed test. Checked the usual , suspects, boot light on etc. Got me running again and advised I ...

Re: Insurance and panoramic rooof

My cover with RAC (Axa) expires soon. I checked out the pano roof under windscreen cover and got an o/k on it. This year RAC changed me to ABC (LV) - No pano roof cover as previously but they juggled around with my excesses and advised a claim would have to be made under the main car cover, thus jeo...

Re: Dehumidifier from Henkel

This Amazon product looks like one I once used in a domestic situation to clear condensation from aluminium framed double glazed windows. Worked o/k but uses crystals which a re easily spilled.

Re: Dehumidifier from Henkel

Dave, I have been known to lurk around Lidl mainly buying tools. Not yet seen the Henkel product over here. I've experienced this condensation problem on a number of Skoda Octavias and now on my QQ. Seems to occur in cold damp conditions whether aircon is on or off. A friend of mine has given me a 1...

MOT Failure, Use of Cable Ties and Recycling

Just a few unusual uses for everyday items. The beans are doing well and the poles have stayed up

Bonnet Shut Line

Hi Dave,Put the vernier on mine - 1.2mm. Local dealer suggests I see their "man" for a tolerance check when I am next in the dealership. Apparently Nissan are a bit fussy about the bonnet shut line. Maybe they have had too many complaints. I'd probably be happy if they can shift a bit of i...

Latest Fault Stop Start Failed

1200 miles on mine and it has only worked once. Not a great problem for me but I don't want it to be an MOT fail in 3 years time.

hard ride from rear suspension

I recall reading in a review that only the top spec QQJ11 has independent rear suspension. All the others use a "twist beam"? set up like the Ford Focus.Mine seems o/k. The wife feels it it is better for her arthritis/osteo problems than our previous Skoda Octavia.

Bonnet Shut Line

2 months into the car and I'm compilng a small snagging list. The bonnet has a slight overhang of approx 2mm over the near side wing. I'm fitting some bonnet struts soon, so maybe it'll shift it over a bit. Not a major problem for me but 2 friends have independently spotted it. Is poor bonnet fittin...
