Had my Qashqai checked today (earliest appointment available). Fortunately, I don’t need to have the steering wheel replaced due to having a new one fitted late last year. The dealership will inform Nissan to update their records accordingly.

Just received an email from Nissan.
It would appear the Google features are free, for an unspecified period. Thereafter, they will be chargeable:
