Re: 2014 New Shape Tekna Tyres?

Personally I'd not motor in winter on anything less that 3mm in winter. Even tyres which are up to legal requirements have much longer stopping distances, especially in bad weather. No way would I put my life at risk with part worn tyres, and I don't find money that easy when replacement time comes.

Re: 2 week old qashqai stone chip??!

Water based paints are good for the environment, but not so good on durability. The art of repairing a chip like this is that you have to raise the level of new paint to just above the level of the existing paint, then sand down using the very finest sanding method using a little rubbing alcohol, in...

Re: Considering Qashqai as next car

I've had the N TEC + 1.9 diesel for about around a year now and find it okay. However, having owned several Renault Grand Scenic vehicles I prefer Renault. Although this car has a Renault engine and the Kadjar is essentially the same vehicle, I will be going for the Renault Kadjar next year. My reas...

Final Countdown....

I have 18 inch and they do pick up road noise, especially on the spray and seal resurfacing, but I'm told they are not as bad as the 19 inch. If the road is in average condition then the noise levels are more than acceptable. As a matter of interest, I had a ride in a new E class Merc last week and ...

Stop/Start Fail

The stop start system will work sometimes and others not dependant on a number of things gs such as battery condition or running services. If it sometimes works and others not then this is normal.

1.2 DigT or 1.5 dci?
enjoy your automatic .you may wonder why anyone drives a manual.my primera cvt has 145000 miles on the clock , still faultless .
Because you have more control over the engine. I spent years in Oz,where most cars are auto and the number of accidents due to cars cre...

qashqai ride quality

I have the N tec + with 18 inch wheels. I do find the tyres on this car pick up a lot of road noise on some surfaces, excessive tyre noise enters the cabin in particular with poor open tarmac surfaces mixed with stone chippings, but I have no experience with the current tyre fit, only Michelin on my...

Road Tax Ahead

Perhaps not lol But if you have a private pension then you don't get a state pension in Oz, you get both here. What used to annoy me in WA was the bloody stick-on tax discs which would weld themselves to the windscreen in the sun and were almost impossible to get off. You even needed one for a boat ...
