Re: No dip headlights

So you've opened the IPDM and checked those two fuses, and also checked the BCM fuses as I suggested? Perhaps a lighting stalk problem then.

Re: Cambelts and timing belt chain!

It has a timing chain, not a belt; I don't have info on service interval for 2.0 but for timing chain change, it's 10 years/180,000 miles for the 1.6 diesel and 187,500 for the 2.0 petrol; I expect it's somewhat similar for yours. Good luck with your QQ - enjoy it!

They're integrated into the electronics and controlled by the BCM (you should check BCM fuses too).

Re: No dip headlights

Fuses (45 and 46, 15A) are in the IPDM under the bonnet. Relays appear to be built into the IPDM's circuitry.

Re: 2018 Nissan Qashqai 1.6 Diesel Xtronic Fuel Consumption

On average my 2015 1,6dCi XTronic will do 6.3 at worst (town) and 5.4 on a run at best (mixed). Best recorded was 4.2 but that was going downhill a lot ;)

Re: Something for the weekend Sir?

I used to have one of those, although as I recall, it was somewhat smaller.

Re: Wipers

I assume your 2014 QQ is the first year of the J11, so your wiper arms should end in a U-shape/hook - the Bosch AR26U/AR17U fits them fine (hence the "U" suffix). I went for the AR652S set, which is an AR26U/AR18U combo - the 18" (well, 17.7") passenger wiper works out about half an inch longer each...

Re: Indicator bulb

I agree with Gel here. It may be a wear-and-tear part but you should reasonably expect its lifetime to exceed 1000 miles.

It's only two bolts to remove the rear wing lamp assembly, if you ever have to attempt it again.

Re: Windscreen wipers 24'' or 26''

In that case, it seems it's not "normal" to have 26" wipers on a J10 but if you already have 26"/16" combo you can apparently get away with it.

No idea about "Toplock", I would have expected the J10 to have ordinary "hook" wiper arms, same as the J11.
