Re: [J11] Dry spots on the boot when driving on mucky roads
You're absolutely right, that's what they are. I get them when the car is frosted too - doesn't take much heat to create this sort of effect.

Re: Replacement Tyres
I find the Michelin Primacy 3 very good. I think it has better grip and is quieter than the Contis. Don't know about the rim protectors though. The tyre is already shaped to avoid rim scuffing. I'd agree with this - a very good tyre. Slightly more expensive than the Continental, but I was told it s...

Re: Steering wheel -> creaking sound
I've just had the same problem with mine, was worse the colder the weather was. My car was serviced this week, the steering had been creaking for a few days, including the morning of the service. By the time I got the car to the garage, the car had warmed up, and the creaking had gone! I mentioned i...

Re: Stop/Start System Failure.
Stop/start system error message means you have a computer fault, or some other electrical fault - it doesn't necessarily mean that there is a fault with the stop/start system. Dealer checking the computer should be able to identify the problem. In my case it was a throttle actuator fault - took 10 m...

Re: New here and which QQ and Convince!
JD Power.jpg Hmm. I know a mechanic that told me that I should change the QQ after 3 years since the Issues with it will starts (Often after 3 years). Is it something I should worry about?[/quot  e] I shan't be keeping mine beyond 3 years, given that I had a warranty claim in the first year f...

Re: Newbie
The hire companies buy the cars heavily discounted from the manufacturer, and get rid of them relatively quickly - they're able to sell them for almost what they paid for them.

Re: Left hand stork with lights functions on it
Always happening to me, lost count of the number of times I've thought 'why have I got my headlights on?'
It's happening when I put the indicators on to turn right.

Re: e Handbrake failed - Nissan denys fault
Both the Highway Code, and the Road Traffic Act, refer to applying the parking brake on a road - presumably therefore not a requirement if parking elsewhere. IT specifies parking brake as not all cars have the conventional manual handbrake. For example, ours has the electronic rear parking brake, s...

Depends on whether you appreciate chasing after your runaway car in blind panic or not I suppose. I would guess that the car is less likely t...
