Re: 1.2 timing chain slipped???

I pursued the Nissan CS option but they weren't going to admit liability or assist with the repair. They just stated it was out of warranty and my mileage was high.

Scrapping is the option I chose.

I'm still miffed that a car that's always been serviced by Nissan has failed.

Re: 1.2 timing chain slipped???

So what would you do if you were in my position? Would you try and source a replacement engine or just scrap the car given the mileage? Most recent pricing I've received for a reconditioned unit is £1695 fitted.

1.2 timing chain slipped???

Hi all So just over two weeks ago my engine lost power on my 1.2 14 reg J11. I get the car to the dealer where I've always had it serviced. They assess the damage and let me know that the timing chain has slipped and caused impact between the valves and pistons, along with scoring of the cylinders o...

Re: Tyre Costs 2017

Thanks to this forum I used the Nexen N Fera SU1 on my Tekna last tyre change for the two rears. They've been fantastic with no noticeable difference to the Continentals. They're also available via ATS for £101.15 fully fitted.

Re: iPod USB issue

Hi there. I had this issue with my old iPhone 4S with the old connector. My assumption in the end was it was the interface slot itself that was the source of the issue as changing the cable made no difference and the connector in the phone is bound to wear after time. My lad's newer iPhone 5S worked...
