It's a easy fix. You have to remove the glove box to get to it, it's just next to the pollen filter.

The only solution I have is to turn the radio up so I can't hear that noise.

Yes it's still there, took it to nissan dealer a couple of times for them to check it out and they told me it's normal it's just the turbo.

Since it's a diesel the fuel filter could be block.

Hi Paplane have you found out what that noise is yet? my qashqai make a similar noise too, took it back to nissan and they said it was the turbo. They told me all the 1.2 dig-t make that noise.
I am sure it wasn't there when i first got the car, it sound like a split hose or something.
