Re: Last Australian Car Manufacturer closes
Given that Vauxhall product is currently all GM stuff, their separation from the group surely means that their current product lines are on marked time? That would give PSA two choices - invest in modifying their platforms to produce new product lines, or quietly shut Vauxhall down and thus remove o...

Re: Tesla S Car Crash
I have to laugh at the line "a far more reasonable $4.5k" - - reasonable? They must be mad! I have all but made my mind up that the next car I have will be leased - three years, and hand it back, then get another new one. Brand loyalty doesn't exist because none of the marques show any loy...

Re: Draining battery
Ah, that is a pain in the rear. This smart charger claims to check the state of the battery before it commences, and then adapts the charge cycle accordingly -- I suspect that some of it is a load of old tosh, but presumably it is sensing the current draw when it applies a voltage to the battery?

Re: Tesla S Car Crash
Electric cars are the next environmental disaster, and yet those that we let run our countries can't (or won't) see it. Sure, the air around the car when it is on the road is cleaner, but the batteries themselves are packed with toxic chemicals that have to be mined and processed, and then at some p...

Re: Last Australian Car Manufacturer closes
Yeah, GM did a pretty good job of stuffing up Holden, Vauxhall, SAAB, Opel etc - and now Vauxhall has gone from the frying pan into the fire having been taken over by PSA group; I reckon Vauxhall will disappear before too long, once PSA has stripped whatever they want out of it. They even had the ch...

Re: BRAKES FAILED!!! CRASHED
Pedal confusion - happens more often than you would believe, and of course the person concerned is adamant that they were stamping on the brake pedal.

Re: Draining battery
Ah, so that charger I bought is not going to go to waste then. I take it just shoving my meter across the battery will be accurate enough to give the resting voltage?

Re: Draining battery
Is there any benefit to be had from periodically charging these batteries via a smart charger?
