Re: Rattling/tractor noise when idling
The engine is high reving, but not noisy, just different ! I guess it will take some getting used to for some people, because it revs at a higher rate than ICE’s attached to a gearbox, and the revs are not related to your speed, but the engine in mine is not intrusive , and hardly noticeable? Get so...

Re: My positive order/delivery experience
Ordered my QQ 1.2 CVT N- tec+ in Blade Silver on the 2nd September and was told it would arrive between 22 & 26th October, which it did ( I was in Belgium that week) and I picked it up this morning , and have covered all of 47 miles already , averaging 33 mpg. So far so good, very impressed as i...

Re: MPG
For my current usage, I calculate that over a three year period, the new petrol Qashqai will cost me around £ 850 more in fuel than my current diesel Volvo, but to have the same spec Qashqai with a Diesel engine & CVT, will cost around £ 2800 more than I am paying, so it's clear that even with a...

Re: MPG
This is intended primarily as a reply to Benbo’s question on the 1.2 cvt. I’ve owned the car now for 11 months and have taken true mpg figures at each fill-up from new. Current mileage approx 6k. Most driving these days are local trips with the occasional longer journey. I’d say about a third of th...

Re: Renault Kadjar
Not too far from me, is a nice hotel, which has been hosting journalists and cars for testing, for many years, and guess what, today is Kadjar day! Unfortunately, I only saw 4, three on test and one stationary as it exited the hotel for the road? I thought that they were Captures at first, as they d...

Re: Petrol vs Diesel Xtronic
Not due until 22 October, so can't tell you yet - sorry!
Looking at the Honest John website, it looks to be around 37/39 mpg 'true', and this is what I worked on before I ordered the car?

Re: Petrol vs Diesel Xtronic
After driving around 350,000 miles in diesel engined cars over the past ten years, and now driving only around 8000 miles a year, I have opted for petrol this time, as the savings in mpg will not justify the additional purchase price for diesels. Never driven a CVT until I tried the Xtronic - very s...
