Re: Emergency braking system fault

It gets better, does this emergency braking issue. If you are driving along on cruise control and the emergency brake is triggered, the cruise control is not cancelled. Ergo, if this is a real emergency the car slows down a bit then tries to speed up again, back into whatever dangerous situation cau...

Re: Emergency braking system fault

The radar unit on my car was replaced, and has since been almost faultless. I have owned two Qashqais, a J11 A and now a J11 B. The radar on the first one was located just below right of the driver's side headlamp, looking from the front at the car. The new unit has been placed directly behind the r...

Re: VW Emission tests

To be honest, on the subject of pollution there are other questions that need answering. Back when we had east and west Germany, the asthma prevalence in East Germany was a tiny fraction of that in West Germany, despite the near-Victorian levels of pollution in the West. As the countries reunified, ...

Re: VW Emission tests

To be honest, I see something here which I haven't heard anyone else commenting on. VW rigged the tests by putting code into the ECU to spot the test environment, and re-tune the car to ultra-clean whenever said test regime was spotted. In other words, the testing regime is so very different from no...
