Re: Battery Drain

Your idle drain current is too high, should be around 8-11mA. Don’t you have mobile phone charger in a cigaret lighter socket by any chance? No nothing plugged in. I posted earlier that I found the reason. It was my dashcam Even when it was supposed to shut off at a predetermined voltage it still c...

Re: Speed Limiters for New Cars from 2022

These automatic speed limiters as described are supposed to be GPS driven so if it detects a speed limit and you are exceeding it it will automatically slow you down. All well and good but it will require the road infrastructure being kept bang up to date. Our qashqai has a speed sign indicator and ...

Re: Cam belt question

Thanks for the info. Still no recommendation as to make. I have always been under the impression that gates make the best belts. Or are they all the same quality nowadays? I went for this https://www.autodoc.co.uk/ina/7883818 If you're not in a rush for parts get them from autodoc. Cheapest place i ...

Re: Cam belt question

Nobody got any suggestions as to best kit?

RVW wrote: Mon Mar 29, 2021 9:26 am Ok reasonable replies thanks guys.
My initial thoughts are the same as Noddy1875.
So the next logical question is “Who makes the best kit?”
Dayco
Gates
Etc

Cam belt question

I have a 2016 1.5dci
According to Nissan you should change the cam belt at 5years or approx 100000 miles.
My Tekna is coming up to 5 years but only has 35000 on the clock.
Would you just change the belt and idlers or do the water pump as well.
