Re: Yet more creaking rattling from Qashqai boot/rear end

Had symptoms pretty identical to what you descibe and likewise it was the rear end of the roof rail, a few people seem to have had the same issue which makes me suspect incorrect torquing ( tightening ) on the production line. Had the rail dealt with by dealer, under warranty, wasn't going to spend ...

Re: Roof Rail is loose

Just noticed this thread, also had an issue with a loose roof rail and curiously it seems to be nearside ones in every case so far. Can't comment on how to do it unfortunately as I took it back to the dealer to let them sort it out under warranty. However it doesn't seem to be a hard job as my deale...

Re: New advanced navigation system - What3words

Thanks for the links,I'd heard of what3words and the concept but never really investigated it, very interesting idea and has been taken on by Mercedes. Best bet for Nissan is to spend their time on Android Auto/Apple Car Play integration rather than stuff like Connect ( mind you it looks like they h...

Re: Draining battery

Another one for the list, Feb 15 car at 30k miles so lasted slightly better than some. Thanks to the forum-and everyone who has posted on the subject- I was aware of the issue and potential warning signs. In my case stop/start error message and system lock out over a number of days, had sourced a nea...

Re: Air con recharge cost

In common with others I had a condensor replacement last July, and have covered about 9000 miles since. The aircon has started hissing again during operation over the last couple of weeks suggesting a gas level issue. It is booked in-at the moment, plans may have to change-for investigation at the end...

Re: Unknown "Sensor" on the front exterior [photos]

As commented, it's an additional sensor used by the auto parking system so only fitted on cars with the system. I'd guess it's main use is for " scanning " just in front and alongside the car to find suitable sized spaces for parallel parking.

Re: Engine warning light/limp mode code P1453

Cleaner worth a try, wonder if it's a co-incidence though that issue has arisen shortly after an MOT where the engine will have been revved hard as part of test, maybe either dislodged some debris that is sticking in the EGR valve or possibly the EGR was on its way out and the extra stressing has ti...

Re: Drivers seat not level

I've had a bad back for months and I've just realised my seat is not level, i.e. One cheek is lower than the other! Anyone else have this problem? You have my sympathy, back issues are never fun, only those who have never suffered are dismissive. Unless there's an actual fault with your seat...

Re: Installing A Dashcam

I'm not sure of the timing, but even if you don't lock the car it turns the power off again after a minute or so, then if you open the door the satnav powers on again, the off after a minute or so after closing the door, and over and over gain, well that's what mine does ;) That is correct, power p...

Re: Installing A Dashcam

My dash cam is plugged into the cigarette lighter (2016 N-connecta, UK). I notice when I open the doors the dash camera comes on....does the cigarette power supply switch off when the doors are locked? (don't want to drain my battery). I'm not sure of the timing, but even if you don't lock the car ...
