Re: Qq not accelerating!

I had one dabble with an automatic Qashqai a few years back, and I never realised there was a soft limit with the accelerator pedal for a few weeks. i.e. when I thought I was pressing it to the floor, it was at about 70%. It was only when I pulled out in the fast lane and saw something approaching b...

Re: Cam belt change on 2011 Quashqai

Supposed to be 75,000 miles or 5 years, whichever comes first. If it's 8 years old, I'd be getting it done soon. The rubber does rot and decay over time regardless of if you drive it or not.

Re: Qq not accelerating!

The 1.2 can be quite nippy depending on where you catch it, if you change from 1st to 2nd at the right point. I've found pulling away in 2nd can be quite a rush. However, if already in 2nd and slowing e.g. at a junction, then you find it's clear and ram your foot down - nothing happens, quite often ...

Re: I can't switch off my paired mobile telephone

Also - if it's a newer android phone, go into your call settings and there's a "Power button hangs up call". Make sure this is turned off.

Re: I can't switch off my paired mobile telephone

When you say can't switch it off, do you mean can't hang up a phone call? Have you tried pressing the phone button on your steering wheel - try a quick press, a long press or a double press. All 3 of those send a different bluetooth function, it's possible one may be hang up.

Re: Mystery beeping

speed camera warning? That produces a few beeps but the only visible indication is a tiny little camera icon that pops up in the lower right of the nav display that is very easy to miss. Similar with the going round a sharp bend warning.

Re: ASDA Customers locked out of their cars!

A friend of mine used to live in a house at the end of a street where about 10 houses couldn't use car keyfobs, as one of the neighbours had some amateur radio rig set up.

Mine never worked when I visited him.

Re: Qashqai Auto gearbox 1.6 petrol 2013

Check with an independent gearbox specialist. Nissan Dealers charge about £130 per hour for labour. For comparison, I was quoted £1700 to replace the clutch at a Nissan dealer, £529 at a local clutch specialist. A specialist may even be able to strip the gearbox down and repair it. Have a read of th...

Re: Turbo blown & engine damage

All Qashqai Turbo's "whistle", it's normal. The old J10 1.5 K9K you could hear from miles away.
How would you describe your problematic whistle that distinguishes it from normal turbo whistle?

Re: New Battery fitted at dealership- disappointing Guarantee

The Nissan logo is on the far side of the battery (furthest away on the photo), quite low down on that side so you have to peer down to see it.
