Re: 1.2 DIG-T - Oil loss

One thing that may reassure, if its true... When mine was diagnosed with the problem and I was waiting for a replacement, I enquired if it was still safe to drive. I was told apart from the symptoms of the annoying noise, there was no actual risk to driving as long as the oil never went below the mi...

Re: Air Con Recharge Frequency Question

They should be periodically run to circulate the lubricant at least. Usually the A/C auto initiates on windscreen defog. No advisory exists in the handbook about weekly runs. Actually, it does... Capture.JPG Although 10 mins a month is different to 20 mins a week, the handbook does inform you that ...

Re: Air Con Recharge Frequency Question

Hi, I have spoken to the Nissan dealer and they have said the following. The only way to test the aircon system is to try and regas it, if it takes the gas they will charge me £150 if it fails then obviously it has a fault. They also said that we need to use the Aircon for at least 20 mins a week w...

Re: FIRMWARE VERSION

Is the bug fix the only new feature in D605? I have only had the issue once in 4 months now, if it was due to some dodgy signal being transmitted maybe it's not any more. Is anyone still getting the problem a lot?

Re: 1.2 DIG-T - Oil loss

There is a list of VIN numbers somewhere (maybe someone with a 1.2 will have the link) of all the cars affected. You can check the car's service book, presumably a new engine will be recorded. If I remember correctly the 1.6 diesel was only available as an automatic (a mate had one when I bought my...

Re: Radiator fan loud knocking

All replaced and good, done under extended warranty.
Really couldn't decide about taking out yet another years warranty for £390 back in March. Glad I did now...

Re: Radiator fan loud knocking

I would guess it's sucking air away from the radiator into the engine bay. The air in the engine bay around there is extremely hot so probably not good if that gets blown onto the radiator!

Re: Radiator fan loud knocking

Well I've been driving for 30 years, most of my cars reach 90-100K before I flog them, and I've never had a radiator fan go bad before. I would have kicked up a fuss if they'd said it was wear and tear. This forum would be awash with reports of it if it was common. There's only 1 similar report I co...
