Re: 1.5 dci engine (and dealer) problems after software update

Andy, glow plugs only assist start up of the engine, they are not in use under normal driving operations so don't waste your money. They just preheat inside the cold engine then do no more. The engine can manage without them in warm weather, indeed we had a 1.5dci Clio and all 4 had failed, probably...

Re: Newbie to Forum - Query re tyre size

Again if similar in width etc as the kadjar the 19's are hellishly expensive and only available in a few options, many over on their forum have changed back to 17's, or have spare 17'3 for winter use.

Re: Newbie to Forum - Query re tyre size

I have a Kadjar at present fitted with 19" wheels and conti's. Previous car was a 63 plte qashqai tekna with 18"'s and whatever tyres were fitted at that time. Just 2 comments from experience with both, the qashqai had better grip in winter than the Kadjar has, much better and the original...

Re: Outdated Sat Nav Mapping

So is that 4 versions in about 4 years?

Is there no free update at all, ie are the maps just current for 1 year then cost?

Re: OLD QQ V NEW QQ

Just seen your reference to J11 in your signature ending 2017, does that mean the current QQ is mk111?, or was it minor facelift last year only

Re: OLD QQ V NEW QQ

You're right, reviews are one thing, Fell for that one, but the only valuable info is from owners. Trouble is it's simply too close, but I have to compare poor value from great volume spec features on the QQ with poor performing electronics/tech on the Kadjar. Check all refs to RLinks to see what I ...

OLD QQ V NEW QQ

Had a 63 plate qashqai, last of the mk1's I think? 1.6dci Tekna. Spec was good for the time, reliability wasn't, Does anyone here have a new as in 2018 car but also had a pre model change one?????????????????? How does it figure. And if anyone has owned a Renault Kadjar and gone QQ, that would be br...

Re: Returning "oldie"

I think the point is given what i said earlier, that we will all get shafted. How many tears ago was it when Mr Gov.UK said "buy diesel", and what's he saying now? :o ;) ;)

Re: Returning "oldie"

And by that you mean????? Tell me anyone that doesn't feel shafted when part exchanging. Not that it matters anyway as we lease via mobility so the forecast loses are factored in to the advance price you pay, no correction at change time. What they have done in london today really does give the indi...

Re: Returning "oldie"

Gloucester, had picked up on the dumbing down in Tekna spec, seems industry wide at present. Also engine changes/hybrids???? really needed plus reading comments from petrol engined owners on this and other forums, they are best avoided. Gel, problem is that cars that meet new regs are worse economy ...
