Re: Loud Whine from behind Grill
I traced it back to the sounder by the horn. It is something with the smart key. I have disconnected it for the moment, I think there must be a short somewhere.

Loud Whine from behind Grill
I have a loud whine coming from the area around the grill which stays there even when the engine is not running. The only way I can make it stop is disconnecting the battery. Anyone got any idea what it may be?

Start stop battery coding
I need to replace the start stop battery on my 1.6dci. From what I have read it I need to reset the battery counter in the ecu. Is there any way of doing this without the Nissan software? Can it be done by resetting the ecu via the ignition?

Re: Brake Pads
I have got so confused looking at brembo stuff on the web. Some pads have integrated shims, bit I don't see it on these. Also the inner pad has the lugs for the shim and cover. If it was integrated then why would I have them?

Re: Brake Pads
If I had that outer shim I wouldn't have this problem. It would fit the new pad. Strange. The pads that are on are nissan branded.

Brake Pads
I am doing the rear pads for the MOT. I have got some Brembo replacements and I don't know what to do with the shims. They fit the inner side pad perfectly, but the external face pad has a lug so the shim wont fit. Should I abandon the shims altogether or just leave them on the inner face? I have ju...

Re: 1.6 dci belt tensioner
OK
So its about due then on age. It was really low milage when we picked it up.
Is there a maintenance schedule available for the 1.6 as the Haynes doesn't cover it. The ones I have found online say different things depending on the country.

1.6 dci belt tensioner
I'm doing a service and replacing the belt and idler pulls as it is 4 years old and has just turned 90,000km. Is it a requirement to replace the tensioner as well?
Also what is the interval for the fuel filter replacement on gesehen. We had it done in January but have done nearly 40k km since then.

JJ10 +2 diesel servicing
Hi Folks Our QQ is up for its 60,000 km service. I have the schedule from the dealer who want over 400 euros for what I think amounts to an oil and filter change. I'm just getting started with this car and wanted to ask which workshop manual should I get hold of and if there is a code reader that co...
