Re: Door cill proectors...any info?
Hi trout, I have considered this approach, but when I've used it in the past it has lifted, despite thorough cleaning with ipa, in the heat of the summer ( remember those?) The metal ones look a bit more substantial, however I'm unable to see how they stick on without creating a snag point around th...

Re: Door cill proectors...any info?
Nice job. Does the foam tape cause them to stand proud a bit, not flush, as I can't visualise how it wouldnt?. The tape I see on these trims is a couple of mm thick.

Re: Door cill proectors...any info?
Nice but yikes! Did you fit them or were they already on there? I'm guessing they use d/s tape too but they do look very flush to the bodywork

Door cill proectors...any info?
The ink blue paint job seems to relish collecting slight marks, so I was looking to offer some protection on the door cill at least. The ones I see online ( not genuine Nissan) either have what looks like an exposed metal edge or some have a black 'trim' around them. They all fit with d/s tape, but ...

Re: When was this air filter last changed?
Thats why I always do a service when I buy a car, because I don't trust the stamps either. I must say though, I was gobsmacked at the state of the air filter and don't quite understand where the oil has come from as the pipework before and after the filter is clean and dry.

Re: When was this air filter last changed?
Looking at the book, it was serviced by Nissan up until 44k, its now on 54k and had a service at 49k. I would have expected someone to have changed it during that time, but I agree with you, it doesn't look like it. I'm concerned that the amount of oily dirt on there is a sign of another, more expen...

When was this air filter last changed?
This car was 'serviced' 5000 miles ago. I'm a newbie to diesels, but I'm guessing they 'forgot' to replace the air filter or is this normal for diesels?

Re: wobbling on acceleration
Well, having just got a 67 plate 1.6dci I immediately find myself on the forum with a very similar issue. Just been to Cornwall and back and noticed an annoying 'jiggle' that feels like I'm driving on a washboard. There is sone wobble through the steering, but minimal. Brand new rear tyres, balanced...
