Re: Update on the attempted theft of my QQ

Well things seem to be moving now, one way or another - the insurance called me yesterday evening asking for the spare key, so at a guess they have either a) reprogrammed the ECU or b) run out of ideas and are clutching at straws...... I have off-street parking; unfortunately it's on the other side ...

Update on the attempted theft of my QQ

Well here we are almost two weeks on from the event, The vehicle was uplifted and taken to Aviva's own premises where their expert (?) was unable to make any headway with the car beyond ordering the new window and a piece of damaged trim. The car was then taken to the local Nissan dealer who had a w...

From bad to worse....

Well having had a look at my car in daylight it seems that the electronics have been disturbed or something stolen - after the broken window incident I wrote about earlier, I have just noticed that the plastic cover from the OBD2 socket has been removed - I don't know if someone has attempted to ste...

Immobilizer - how to clear....

Hi all, lovely start to the bank holiday, some git has smashed my drivers door glass and the alarm immobilizer has triggered - the remote will not open the door and if i approach the car the alarm goes off. Autoglass can't get here until tomorrow so I'm a bit screwed - and am concerned that I'll not...

A bit confused over SD Card versions

Hi all, I have just had a new Media Unit fitted into my 2017 QQ under warranty due to ongoing issues with loss of signal, rebooting etc. I was sharp enough to retain the SD card that I bought a while ago and the new unit came with an SD card. I'm a tad perplexed by the two cards; the one that came w...

Re: Oh Poo! Hit by an elderly driver today

Hi all, Just to update on the recent invasion of my QQ by a myopic crumbly, I've been a Peugeot 108 driver while my car was being straightened out and collected it this evening - looks like Wilsons of Epsom have done an excellent job; I will be scrutinising every square inch tomorrow in daylight, bu...

Re: Deciding between new 2017 DiG 1.2T and 1.6T manual Tekna

I drove both 1.2 and 1.6 before I decided on the 1.6; we had previously had a 2.0 diesel Volvo and make a number of trips across Europe at high speeds, the 1.6 had the edge in terms of how it felt for me and the possible issues that affect some 1.2 engines reinforced the choice in favour of the 1.6....

Re: Oh Poo! Hit by an elderly driver today

Wilsons reckon a 'working week' once authorised for mine and have offered me a courtesy car; it's not going to be a QQ but I suppose it could be worse! If it had been some uninsured scratter in a 2004 Corsa I would be in a less than optimal position. I have reviewed the dashcam footage and my speed ...

Oh Poo! Hit by an elderly driver today

Exiting my usual Waitrose car park today I was T-Boned by an old dear in a 20-year-old Polo; she admitted liability immediately but I am so cheesed off; as I am totally OCD about the QQ (amongst other things) and it has really taken the shine off for me. We treat the car like a flippin' child and th...
