Re: Battery, CVT and service questions
Stop/start kills batteries in my opinion. My previous 2017 Qashqai had a new battery after only 18 months from new. With my latest early 2020 model I always (well 99.99% of the time) switch off the stop/start before setting off on any journey, short or long. I am hoping that this will preserve the b...

Re: Tyre pressures
Seems a common issue, I recall enduring a bouncy ride and light steering after taking delivery of my 2017 J11b before discovering the tyres were at 50+ PSI

Re: Wheel Well Options
I recently purchased a full 16" spare wheel kit from flea bay including the foam etc. as I didn't trust the gunk to be of much help if I had a blow out. As Andy has stated, this does cause the lower boot floor to be slightly raised up and the foam inserts help to level it off. Still enough room...

Re: Auto hold
Hi, I think yours may be faulty. Presume the white light on the dash disappears and the light on the button near the gear stick? The auto-hold always stays operational for me (unless I manually switch it off) and has never switched off on its own despite the local roads being pothole strewn :o . Min...

Re: Front Passenger Door Lock
I have a January 2020 J11b and had a similar problem late 2023, but totally unable to open the front passenger door from the inside (but fine from the outside). The door actuator cable was replaced and it all works fine now. Not sure what the cost would be due to this being fixed under warranty by m...

Re: what Qashqai engine
It is a dillema that I sort of had around 18 months ago. I previously had a company leased 2017 1.6 diesel (was a bit more lively than the 1.5 that I found underpowered when I test drove one) but on retirement chose a used 2020 1.3 petrol as I didn't want the possible dpf issues etc. since my milage...

Re: Who hates their Qashqai? Feel free to elaborate
Some have obviously had bad luck with theirs but I have been happy with the two N-Connecta's that I have had. The first J11 ran trouble free for 4 years with the exception of a knackered battery in year 2 which was a known issue with them due to stop/start. Not sure if the leasing company or Nissan ...

Re: New car
Good point about the service plan MikeGC ! I took one out for the three years covering the extended warranty, not particularly to save money but to spread the cost (around £25 per month) and also keep the servicing with Nissan just in case I had any warranty issues that needed sorting. If they've se...

Re: New car
Welcome to the Forum Firestarter1 ! I retired a couple of years ago in March 2022 and purchased an early 2020 1.3 DIG-t 140 n-Connecta with 10,000 miles on the clock. Coming from company car ownership I took out an extended Nissan 3 year warranty for peace of mind as I hadn't had to worry about any ...
