Re: 1.6 dig-t 160 clutch judder

You need the techie to take it for a twenty minute drive. He'll be able to hear its wrong if he can't feel it. It sounds exactly the same problem as my 1.5 Tekna, the dual mass flywheel. Replaced under warranty... just! 2K job so worth pushing them!

Re: QQ issues and general query.

Heck.. white smoke says a DPF regeneration issue to me. But you'll need to be on a longish drive for quite a while at over 40MPH for that to kick in, and anyway there's a warning light that should come on to say regeneration is needed if the car hasn't managed to do it automatically (ignore at your ...

iphone dials on connection and plays music

Does anyone have a solution to why when I connect iphone via USB to Connect it starts dialling itself with the call duration indicator going up. The 'call end' button doesn't do anything, and you can only get control back by pressing thew 'handset' button on the Connect screen. Also similarly when I...

Re: Additional 3 year warranty

I did it at the time the 3 year original warranty was about to run out £297 for the first year. I checked the exclusion list and consider it fair. Just got some extra piece of mind now. Nothings cheap is it.. to fix one pad of the seater heater for example is £230. The QQ appears to me to be a car t...

Strange noise on pulling away

As it's sunny.. ish .. the windows are down.. (occasionally!) I've noticed my 1.5 DCI Tekna has a weird high pitched fizzy noise at the top end of accelerating away in 1st/2nd gear. You pull away and engine noise is 'what you'd expect' in fact rather nice and throaty, but at the end of the rev just ...

No the parking brake has to be engaged manually. The Xtronic models deactivate the stop start system when on a slope I believe

Re: Intelligent Key System

If you use the little pimply rubberised button on the tailgate it unlocks the doors, but I've found pressing the larger rubberised boot lid release next to it opens just the boot. Mind you I had the alarm go off when doing it once so you might like to test it first!!

Re: Bodywork 'dink' repair

I use a dent puller with glue sticks which is very good but I wouldn't on a brand new car., because although results can be great, pull a bit too hard or not centre the tab quite in the right place and you can over do it. Damn useful on a bit older car though.

Re: 1.5dci loss of power when cold

Quick follow up. The QQ needs a new flywheel/clutch! A well tuned, and I have to say excellent, mechanic had a test drive to experience the judder which he did, and heard an additional noise in the background, leading to the flywheel/clutch diagnosis Big job which I am glad to say is being done unde...
