Injector programming - 2012 1.5 dCi

Hey I have a 2012 1.5 dCi which needs a bunch of engine work done. Needs a new timing belt, glow plugs and an injector replacement. I reckon this is easily 700 quids worth from a garage so i'm considering tackling it myself (already done a DPF replacement and replaced gearbox). My only concern is pr...

Re: Fuel pump issue? Possible air leak in fuel line?

Update - Ebay bulb was a dud, didn't fit (my fault) so purchased one from the Nissan dealership for £24 + vat which was very resonable. They had the part permanently stocked so it must go quite often. Appears to have resolved the issue with the starting although i think i still have some air in the ...

Re: Fuel pump issue? Possible air leak in fuel line?

I think you might be onto something. I recently changed the fuel filter and it must have taken 20 minutes to get the primer to actually fill the new filter. Ive ordered a new bulb on ebay, fairly cheap. Ill report back.

Fuel pump issue? Possible air leak in fuel line?

Hey I have a 2012 1.5 dci, i had issues with low power previously that where resolved with replacing the fuel filter with a Mann filter. I have now got an issue with the strangest noise coming from the drivers side (around where the fuel pump is). Some days it will take an age to start and when it d...

Intake Manifold Runner Control Stuck Open

Hello! I have had a sluggish 1.5 dci (2012) for quite a while now, cleaned EGR, replaced a vacuum solenoid and had it smoke tested, all with no results. The garage scanned it today and got the code: 2004 Intake Manifold Runner Control Stuck Open (bank 1) 2004 Intake Manifold Runner Runner Position S...

Re: Low power ( 1.5dci / 2012 J10 )

Hello! So an quick update, i have replaced the solenoid and the vacuum leak is definitely gone, the turbo kicks in around 2100 RPM now, quite noticable and the brakes are much sharper, still very low on power early doors in first gear, i have to rev it up to 2100 odd to get it to move up a slight in...

Re: Low power ( 1.5dci / 2012 J10 )

Thanks Grin, i've edited my post, i meant to say its an original Nissan part. I have done some more tests, one of which was a vacuum test. There appears to be a vacuum leak on the solenoid attached to the right hand side of the engine. Ive ordered a new one and should have it within a couple of days...

Low power ( 1.5dci / 2012 J10 )

Hello! We have recently had a few issues with a faulty turbo inlet pipe, apparently its a hugely common fault but the replacement (an official Nissan part) also went! We've had the DPF blocked up a couple of times because of this but when we replaced the pipe again i took the DPF off completely and ...

Brake reservoir cap

Hey During a recent gearbox change I neglected to put the brake reservoir cap back on tight (or at all) and I’m now in need of a new one. I can find a bunch of entire reservoirs for sale at 60 quid a pop but I just need the cap. Measured it and it looks to be 50mm has anybody got a source that would...
