Re: Adjusting audio tone on new Tena
Thank you very much, egamar. I hadn't realised there was a settings control on the touch screen. I've now been able to adjust the bass and tone as I like them. I've been puzzling over it for days! Very grateful. Thanks to gloucester, too.

Re: Adjusting audio tone on new Tena
Many thanks for your reply, but Settings doesn't give a Sound or Audio option.

Adjusting audio tone on new Tena
Just taking delivery on my new Tekna, my third Qashqai. I love it. But I can't fathom how to adjust bass, treble, etc., on the audio. The handbook tells me to do so through Settings then Clock, but that only allows me to adjust the time. Any ideas, please?

Re: ALL-NEW NISSAN QASHQAI BREAKS COVER
It just occurred to me that they are making cars longer, wider and heavier (not least when they are hybrids with hefty batteries) but with smaller engines. A contradiction?

by gloucester » Thu Feb 18, 2021 8:51 pm Why do cars have to get bigger all the time? https://telegraf.id/nissan-unveils-its- ... -from-22k/ gives us this comparison with the facelifted J11B: Length: 4,425mm (+35mm bigger than 2nd-gen Qashqai) Width: 1,838mm (+32mm) Height: 1,635mm (+10mm) Wheelbas...

Re: ALL-NEW NISSAN QASHQAI BREAKS COVER
Hmmm... 32mm wider so if I can squeeze it into my garage I won't be able to get out of the car. On sale in the summer. Glad I bought my new N-Motion last month and didn't wait. Looks ok but I was expecting something much more modernistic.

Re: New Qashqai's at least 19% off
I bought a new N-Motion (now top of the range) in January and was delighted with the deal. They kept giving me more and more money off and adding mats, mudflaps, etc. Clearly a good time to buy. Not least, perhaps, because the new Qq hybrid is just around the corner. I knew that but after much delib...

Re: Hybrid battery weight
Interestingly, Nissan have announced they will be making all their batteries in Sunderland. Good news for the workers there. Just hope they don't weigh a ton.

Re: To buy or not to buy...
Yes, conrail, my wife and I love the heated seats. So warm that I have to turn mine off within a few minutes! She leaves hers on, though. My Qashqai has been tucked away in the garage overnight, so I've not had any ice or snow on it yet, but I have to say the demisting is really efficient. One thing...

Hybrid battery weight
Just a thought about hybrids. I recently read a review of a plug-in hybrid Skoda, who I reckon make pretty decent cars. The reviewer said the Skoda battery weighs 200kg. Having just lugged into the house six 1.25 litre plastic bottles of drink, I found them pretty heavy. Now, as 1 litre of liquid we...
