Re: 2011 1.5dci glow plugs
This is what my engine looks like. If it's not the same then you've got off lightly!

Re: 2011 1.5dci glow plugs
Yes, the cover will need removing. I had the same problem removing the silver pipe and couldn't do it. II eventually managed to move the pipe enough to give me enough room to get the plastic cover off. The silver pipe is meant to just lift off once you've remove the jubilee clip from the part where ...

Re: 1.5 or 1.6 diesel engine?
Go for the 1.6. In my humble opinion', the 1.5 is not quite powerful enough.

Re: Ongoing Heater Problems
I should add that I also tried attaching hoses and adding white wine vinegar. Incidentally, is it normal for not much water to come out when disconnecting the heater hoses. About 100ml at most comes out in total when I disconnect them? I only lost about 1 litre when I disconnected the bottom hose wh...

Ongoing Heater Problems
Still having problems. Have replaced thermostat, flushed cooling system with specialist cleaning fluid, got hose and jet wash onto the matrix and flushed that, and burped system. I still only get heat when the car is moving. When I stop again, it goes cold.
Anyone else had this problem?
Cheers.

Re: heater core
Thanks again, Jim. I understand what you mean and have already bought the piping. I might wait until after Xmas before I brave a trip to the supermarket for the vinegar! Wise words, Daewar. Has made me think that I might do a complete coolant change. Have only had the car for a couple of months. Who...

It helps a lot. I'll give that a try. Thanks for that, Flann. Much appreciated.

Plastic Clips
I seem to have a talent for breaking those annoying plastic clips. I am now missing 3 from the engine undertray and two from the top of the grille. Anyone bought any decent multipacks that contain the correct clips for the QQ? There are loads of clips advertised on eBay and Amazon. I want to buy a s...

Re: heater core
Thanks for the post, Jim. My heater is appalling at the moment. Was just going to flush it until I read your interesting tip regarding the white vinegar. How much is required? Cheers.

Re: Best Website For QQ Technical Advice?
gymdaddy, the advice I was after was how to access my glow plugs on my particular engine ... 60 plate N-tec 1.5 DCI. Please see my post Glow Plug/Intercooler Pipe. I thought that would be an incredibly simple question and that's why I thought this may not be the right site for technical advice.. I h...
