An update from my previous post 11 Oct: about 2 weeks on Nissan Central have confirmed they will cover the costs of replacing the engine on my 64reg. Latest software is D554. Ring up Nissan customer services and tell them what's going on. Formally complain. They know about this, very common. At the very least they should update the software.

Nissan want to remove my unit to investigate it.

I've also had the constant audio silence at random and unit rebooting! Can be quite bad where unit cuts out regardless of working with CD/bluetooth/DAB/etc, every few minutes. This started only a few months ago, back in November 2018. Am just out of warranty but appealed to the dealer who said no so...
