Re: Petrol or diesel?

I have a 67 plate 1.6 diesel cvt. Its great. Had no problems at all with the car, apart from a couple of battery issues. As for the newer engines /drive trains, i do not like them. Had a 69 plate 1.5 diesel with the dct gearbox for a week in November as a hire while mine was in for some work on the ...

Re: Tyre recommendation

To save some confusion, my vehicle is a lease. So I have (or thought I had) no choice in replacements. Apart from the fact that I went in for a single tyre repair or replacement, and came out with one repair at the rear and two replacements on the front. That said, I'm with most other people on here...

Re: Tyre recommendation

Had my fronts changed (totally unnecessarily) by Kwik Fit a few months ago. While in for a puncture they claimed that the fronts were worn, after about 22k on a 2 year old car. They were replaced with Yokohamas, but the punctured rear original Michelin was fixed and left on. So id ended up with 3 Yo...

Re: Simple way to permanently disable auto Stop Start system?

Tend to just leave the screen blower on low all the time. Start / stop doesn't kick in untill you turn it off. If its cold it'll blow the heated air over the screen and out into the car, and it its hot it's cold air to keep cool. Stopped in traffic with only the foot brake applied the engine runs un...

Re: Speed Limiters for New Cars from 2022

Speed limit recognition in QQ uses a number of factors from what i understand. The camera at the top of the windscreen is used in conjunction with the satnav maps and GPS location. As Geordieman has pointed out, sometimes the system will pick up sliproad signs, or signs close to junctions, where the...

Re: Is the Qashqai boot big enough...

Depends what you mean by large. Labrador retriever type dog yes. Small horse type Great Dane, probably not. My 6 year old fully grown husky fits a treat. So much so he can't wait to get in when i take him out. I also find the steel ring at the back of the passenger seat in the boot (r/h corner) very...

Re: Pet world 34” Dog Cage

A shame because its a nice cage and I'm looking for one (or a decent guard) at the moment. But sadly too small for my husky. Maybe i need to trade down to a sandwich size dog!
