Re: Qashqai Turning off after rear end accident

Ford/Mazda have had this fuel cut off system when involved in a bump for years,(emergency inertia fuel switch ) they used to be a switch in the boot hidden behind the boot liners that you had to push to reset. There was no mention of the system in the hand book and no mention of how to reset it. I t...

Re: What do these acronyms stand for: IS DCIS/S

I was searching for parts on https://www.1stchoice.co.uk (1st Choice Spare Parts). They must be calling a public data API somewhere which is returning the car details. Under trim it says ' TEKNA IS DCIS/S' Screenshot_20190112-095207.png It is not a typo but I do not know what the letters stand for ...

Re: Gas strut length

Terry, I have same type as Dave has fitted, and in case not mentioned before the struts do not FULLY OPEN the bonnet, nearly though. The supplied <original> bonnet strut can stay in situ; it just needs to be bent a little, to make radius shorter, so it can clip in as before. Link may assist: http:/...

Re: Gas strut length

Terry, had to wait for the light snow to clear 🌨 before measuring. If you look at the photo the dim‘n for the Cylinder Rod (Shiney Part) is 175cm from the plastic swivel part to the start of the Cylinder Body with the Bonnet Open. The Manufacturer is FENOX A901 024 464A which I believe is a Russian...

Re: About "politeness"

Sorry, I used Google translator, the original is here: https://www.drive2.ru/r/nissan/qashqai/495391836915892549/ So the translation is as follows. But the page you have given does not have your opening statement on it. I think the OP has seen this page and wanted to know about some of the features...

So what I am looking for is can any body tell me what the length of the gas struts used in there bonnet kit, the reason I ask is I have my kit but my strut appears to be to long. Al...
