i'm guessing it got bent in the process of me trying to return the wiper arms back to the home position when they got stuck in the middle, which then forced it to become detached.

anyway, the wiper motor is covered by the warranty i have, so it's with them now to get fixed.

and the loose one looks nothing like the one in the video, unless it's been severely bent in the process of me moving the arms by hand!

unfortunately i am not able to reconnect the linkage as i don't have a suitable tool to undo the bolts on the wiper blades.
i have a small tool that fits but not enough leverage to loosen the bolts.

i have checked the fuse, which is the yellow 30A fuse (i believe) and it's fine, so it wasn't a fuse issue that caused it to suddently stop in the middle.
i'm almost certain the linkage disconnection is due to me forcing the wipers back to home after they had stopped.
