Re: Clock time varies

Pulsars are having the same issue.

Unlikley to be hardware related, but signal related as mine catches up. Only happens after parking up over night under the car port

Re: 1.6 dig-t 160 clutch judder

Whilst its nice to see the derv guys chipping in, you all need to keep in mind there are fundemental difference between the 2 engines/drive trains and this will alter the transmission characteristics. The petrol will use a single mass flywheel, where as derv's will use a dual mass flywheel. This doe...

Re: e Handbrake failed - Nissan denys fault

You should be leaving your car in gear regardless of brake type unless there is exceptional circumstances! Whatever the fault is, it does not sounds like it’s a common issue, and failures of things can and do happen, be it electronic or manually operated handbrake via a cable. As it stands, I do not...

Re: Nissan points towards electric future

Interesting concept.

However at that cost (very rough figure of around £2000). Quite a cost really. How many miles on average are Leaf owners getting before their batteries start to show signs of becoming expired? I would hope a minimum of 100,000 miles but really should be more?

Re: 1.2 DIG-T - Oil loss

Nissan will not 'extend' the warranty regarding the oil loss issue as standard. There maybe a small amount of room if there are problems straight after but you will be on your own at the 3 year mark* However, if you kick off with Nissan Customer Services, you may get some mileage regarding extended ...

Re: 1.2 DIG-T - Oil loss

Carbon/other substances do build up over time on exhausts so this could be perfectly normal. My 1.6 DIG-T Pulsar and Micra are a bit like this and neither of them have lost oil. Emissions are never as clean as the manuf's say they are (*cough* VW *cough*). All cars burn a bit of oil one way or anoth...

From Yuasa batteery manuf https://www.yuasa.co.uk/info/technical/start-stop-vehicle-battery-replacement-warning/ [For the aftermarket replacement of the original equipment battery, IT IS ESSENTIAL to replace batteries with like-for-like technology, i.e. if vehicle is fitted with an original equipmen...

Re: New car fitted with wrong acid battery

EFB is perfectly capable of supporting modern stop/start cars. Infact, they were specificly designed for such a task and are cheaper than AGM type. The fact that my Micra is a 2012 model still on its original EFB battery today, stop/start is used frequently, as well as a lot of short trips. Nout wro...

Re: Hi , took delivery of qq connecta 1.2 petrol. Face lift one.Has any one else had a problem with the emergency front

This issue was around on the pre-face lift J11 where the emergancy braking was set off due to the system picking up objects with reflective surfaces and a sofware patch was applied. It happened to me once, software fix applied and the problem never reoccured during my ownership. I have not had a fal...

Re: New car fitted with wrong acid battery

AGM isnt always needed, infact, in the 3 Nissan's I have had with stop start (J11 QQ, K13 2012 Micra and Pulsar), none of them have had AGM, but a lead acid type called EFB. The lead acid EFB battery in my Micra is now 6 years old and showing no signs of expiring any time soon. Can you confirm exact...
