How easy to self-install light/numberplate board?

I'm looking at new car bike racks and the easiest one for us would be boot mounted, but this would necessitate adding a numberplate/lighting board. I gather that this can be run through the boot lid and just plugged in somewhere under a panel in the boot but can't find any details as to where or wha...

Re: 1.2 Dig-T N-Connecta CVT gears behaving strangely

Thanks @Calnorth. Yes, will of course proceed with contact with Nissan (though as the nearest dealer is an hour away am hoping they will be our last resort), but was just wondering if someone had happened to have the exact same issue as then it might give me something of a starting point. I find a l...

Re: 1.2 Dig-T N-Connecta CVT gears behaving strangely

Thanks @MikeGC. I have read all the threads I can find, but none that seem to have the same problem I do, hence asking.

1.2 Dig-T N-Connecta CVT gears behaving strangely

Hi, I have a 2017, pre-new model 1.2 Dig-T N-Connecta CTV and recently its gears have started behaving very strangely. I've taken it into a specialist garage (we're not near the dealer but have a well regarded gearbox specialise nearby) and been told that there are no error codes and that they can't...

Re: Help diagnosing random intermittent juddering and dealer has no idea what's causing it

We ended up selling our car, but it did look like it had something to do with the gearbox. Re-oiling it helped. But I'm not sure if it sounds like the same fault as yours, as ours wasn't at high speeds, but when accelerating in the 1500 rpm range. Ours was an automatic.

Incorrect Key ID after repeated battery changes

Hi all. Hoping someone can help. We've had repeated problems with our smart key on our 2014 Acenta premium DCI automatic. I can no longer open the doors by pressing the button on the door only by pressing the button on the key fob, and I am now getting the 'incorrect key id' message pretty much ever...

Re: Help diagnosing random intermittent juddering and dealer has no idea what's causing it

2. - change down a gear (or two) before accelerating But I'm guessing this wouldn't apply as its automatic, right? I would be thinking of misfire type issues. Try a fuel system cleaner for £15 it might be all you need. Unfortunately we've also tried this...twice. Its unbelievably frustrating! I fee...

Would this apply to an automatic do you think? And what is the fix? Thanks

Re: Help diagnosing random intermittent juddering and dealer has no idea what's causing it

I’m not aware that it’s rpm based as it sometimes happens when idling. And equally there will be journeys where it doesn’t happen at all no matter what the revs.
