Re: Re-gen Cycles??

Good Evening. Just out of curiosity, does anyone know what factors are needed for the ecu to trigger a re-gen cycle on the dpf on a J11 1.5dci? It's all well and good forever being told to "just get it up to 60 every now and then". But I am a how things work kind of guy. If there is a specific sequ...

Re: Ball joint question

Thanks Dave. I'll check the conditions of the arms and probably just go with an entire replacement for peace of mind. I don't have access to a press so I don't want to waste too much time faffing around with the joint. Your'e dead right there and this is steering and suspension. No guarantee that a...

Re: J10 Main Beam remained on with no control

hi All, Finally got around to the bottom of the issue. Nissan garage took a look and found some wirings between the control stock and the BCM had came loose and it took them just over 2 hours to find and fix the issue. Also the technician said the reason the main bean is stuck on is because it was ...

Re: Ball joint question

Difficult to say unless someone has done it. Would Nissan sell the separate parts would be my question or is there after market parts? Plus its a safety related item. Vid below shows the work...think its Russian:

Re: Slave Cylinder Hose

Nissan actually call it a Master Cylinder Assembly. All of us call it a Slave Cylinder like you. Interestingly I think your 2nd mechanic got it near right because a locking pin is likely missing. The brake pipe is a push in type and as such needs a lock (pin) mechanism to hold it secure. Usually the...

Re: Premium traffic

It is not an app,you just connect your smartphone to the nissanconnect system and use it as a wifi hotspot. ok...there's a piece of software somewhere managing specific wifi data...I guess part of that is "Premium Traffic" which shows up in the USA as a Nissan offering. Not here? https://www.nissan...

Re: Repeat issue on MOT

I rang them up this morning to ask based on this advice if it was normal to go within a year, they said and I quote, "they are always doing these on qasqaui cars as it's a common fault. Usually by going over potholes. I don't really want to ask and get their backs up as this is the only garage in t...

Re: touching up rear paintwork - grey 2014

It's definitely plastic. Which I think will make painting a lot easier, no need for primers etc. Got a £7.50 spray can from Halfords, painted some plastic pieces in the garage last night and they seem to be an exact match in the sunlight today, so I'm going to give it a go. oh...thought that might ...

Re: touching up rear paintwork - grey 2014

Hi all, Had my first scrape, and looking to touch it up. Rear passenger corner. No dents, just paint scraped off. Picture below. So is the black the primer underneath, or is this a black plastic piece of bodywork? Any tips on doing this? And is there a good place to get the exact match paint other ...

Re: Repeat issue on MOT

Hi, it is around 10 years old and I have had it since new. I do use the local garage for all the work. And yes it was repaired and passed the MOT. Thanks I have never known any ball joint to fail within a year...these devices are very robust. You'll need to go back to the MOT tester to get some exp...
