Re: Wiring from clock spring to harness

The connection should be without those amateur soldered resistor additions. They appear to be 2.2 ohms each. Look on eBay for the QQ clock spring unit as they show clean one piece cable & plug connection. At a guess it looks like someone has added the resistors to present a specific load to the Air ...

Re: Wiring from clock spring to harness

Anything like that around the spiral cable unit automatically alerts me to Air Bag interference. Is your SRS lamp always off? General Info: The airbag connectors are bright yellow in order to more easily identify the airbag cables and connectors. Inside the connector there is a jumper which prevents...

Re: Very strange

Is likely a power problem so the first thing to do is get the battery checked....reliably.

The fact the radio works is meaningless as regards starting and running the car properly.

Re: Power Window Lock

Thanks for that. I did wonder if it was perhaps a break in the loom. I'm assuming its one of the cables coming from the small three pin plug at the drivers switch panel You'll need to inspect a rear door window power switch - 3 wires. 1 wire is 12volts and the other 2 are ground. The ground(s) shou...

Re: Power Window Lock

My power window lock switch has stopped working. All the windows work fine, but I cannot lock the back ones to stop the Grandkids fiddling with them. I have changed the complete switch module in the drivers door, but it makes no difference. Any other suggestions please (other than hitting the Grand...

Re: USB failure ?

So I got to the dealer with my recently purchased car - and the fault print out was staggering. Yep - the USB hub or whatever needs replacing , but so does the forward sensor that takes care of Pro-Pilot , Cruise Control , anti Collision . This devise is impacting upon so many systems , be glad whe...

Re: Park Assist Parking on pavements

I suspect there is a calibration problem relating to video content in view. What the camera's (+ sensors) see and what the control system decides to do about it, is not...lets say synchronised.
