Re: Air Conditioning not very cold

Hi Craig As a retired refrigeration engineer I can state 100% that you are correct in stating the refrigerant does not evaporate in a sealed unit. Years ago the gas used was R12 which was abolished due to greenhouse gases and the replacement for that was R134a. One of the top commercial refrigerator...

Re: Love Affair Over.

I just hope the next owner can get it sorted as I have given up all hope, that's why trade in.

Re: Love Affair Over.

Hi Daewar I suppose you are right in advising me to get a Smart car to toddle about town to carry four or five bags of shopping. But here we have one small problem. I also have to carry a modified wheelchair for her indoors. What with the 5 bags of shopping and wheelchair the Smart car is a bit of a...

Love Affair Over.

Well after just over two years I have finally had enough. Got to say goodbye to the Tekna. I think its a good car but I made the major mistake in buying a Diesel engine. My Financial Controller, SWMBO, advised me not to purchase the diesel engine but I think I was swayed by the Sales rep that said, ...

Re: AlloyGators issues

Have to say that my experience with the AlloyGators has been a nightmare. If you check my posts you will see that this can happen http://i1242.photobucket.com/albums/gg532/toffeeggs/two_zpse270f0cf.jpg I went back to supplier and they refitted. About two weeks later the next one came away. Solution....

Re: Air Conditioning not very cold

As a retired refrigeration engineer I have been interested in all what has been said with regard to the new Gas and having to recharge the system every two years (Quote from Villawoz) How many times do the members have to have the fridge or freezer in the home recharged. If you do its mostly due to ...

Re: Roof Rail marks puzzling

Tekna 1.6 cvt 30th April 2014 I too have noticed roof rails ends have started to deteriorate on the ends. Don't really want to take it in to my local dealer as I had a fall out with them over the parking sensors alarming when nowhere near anything, poor m.p.g, stop/start system failure (in the end t...

Re: Update of mpg and adjustments.

Hi gvmdaddy Just one quick question, you state that 'garage replies are feasible'. So you think that the read out for miles till empty could go from 366 to over 600 in a 50mile run without filling up tank. Yes I have seen this readout change one or two miles but this is the first time I knew it coul...

Re: Update of mpg and adjustments.

Just to let you all know the car has been in and out of the garage a few times. This morning I went to pick the car up from the garage again and have been told that problems have all been sorted out. Firstly the problem with the parking sensors going off now and again is due to water on the front ca...
