Re: Rattle from passenger side on dash on startup

I had the same thing with my 2019 QQ 1.6 dig.t. Dealer said it could be the timingchain, but this rattle sounded like a 'plastic' rattle. Dealer couldn't find the cause, but I found out that it was the airfilterhousing. It had a little play in the various connections. Put two screws in it and the ra...

Re: ABS Sensor damage - Chewed through twice in 6 weeks - Advice needed

Are you sure it's a fox and not a stone marten? We have quite some problems here with stone martens that chew on all sorts of automotive rubbers. Even if it is a fox, they, like stone martens, also do not like the high frequent sound of a rodent alarm. I installed one and haven't had any problems so...

Re: FAQ: Electric windows with Stop/Start button/iKey

On my 2019 1.6 Dig-T, there's a few minutes to close the windows after cutting off the ignition.

Re: Radar deactivated

I was recently informed by Nissan that there was a re-call still to be performed for the radar of my 2019 QQ. During foggy weather the forward collision light came on twice and I had some sort of an 'emergency stop' once. I believe they installed new firmware and the problem looks like is has been r...

Re: Plug and Play Tow Bar Electrics

On modern vehicles you really need a 'vehicle specific' wiring loom. These specially made for the QQ of yor year and model. The wiring loom is run all the way forward towards the main fusebox and all the other electrical connections. You connect it in accordance with the instructions of the manufact...

Re: Tragic SUV Porsche Macan Crash in Berlin

The next time (hopefully there will not be a next time) a 'normal vehicle' gets out of control, are they going to ban that type of vehicle as well? Unfortunately, each day people are killed in traffic accidents. If the autorities are consistent, they may just as well ban all vehicles from driving wi...

Re: Engine , salvageable?

You write that the engine lacks power. If a valve has been hit by a piston and it won't open/close properly, I would think that the engine would run on 3 legs. If that's the case, a piston, connecting rod and/or crankshaft bearing could also be damaged. It would be very disappointing to find out tha...

Re: Passenger Map Light

Wattage shouldn't be the problem. Sounds like a bad contact in the assembly.

Re: Cheap Imitation Mudflaps?

I recently bought a set of mudflaps through AliExpress. Didn't used the screws to attach them since I didn't want to tapp into the metal of the front fenders. Instead I used doublesided adhesive tape and (for the front ones) a tyrep to fix them to an already existing hole in de undercarriage. For th...
