Re: Rattle
You say the rattle is coming from inside the car, might be an idea to get a couple of passengers on board, one in the back and someone in the front passengers seat so they can have a listen and poke around while you can concentrate on the driving. I had a knocking noise and found the passengers sun ...

Re: MOT pre warning for diesels
This warning notice is because some garages hold the revs at 2500-3000rpm for 20secs to test the emissions. If your timing belt isn't upto scratch then It could let go, causing major engine damage and a very expensive repair bill, that you could argue would be the garages fault. I think most cars on...

Re: Anyone else disappointed?
It wasn't too long ago I was on here saying how I would have another QQ even with all the problems it's had. Funny how attitudes can change over a short period of time, I think I must have accidentally pressed the self distruct button when I was fumbling around trying to find the fuel flap release (...

Re: Qashqai advice pls
Hi Adam, I personally wouldn't buy a car based on what I have read on a forum, due to the fact you will always read more bad than good. You could keep on trawling through the forum but I don't think you will find the answer your looking for. Choose a model that's within your budget and suits your re...

Re: Auto engine off issue
Personally I like this function and the ability to turn it off/on. It's something I usually set depending on the journey, for e.g if I'm going to be driving a route that takes me through an area that I know I will have to keep stopping for 30 seconds or more, then I have it on. If I'm on a route tha...

Re: Dealer oil question
You are correct that the GTX isn't magnatec. I thought the J10 used castrol edge? Anyhow, from the sales invoice it clearly states "magnatec" which can only mean that they have been using the wrong oil because the GTX is the only oil that Castrol specifies is to be used in the J11 K9K engi...

Re: Dealer oil question
Nothing wrong with that oil being used in the 1.5dci K9K engine,as long as they used the GTX 5W-30 C4.

Re: Fuel consumption 1.6T Acenta?
I must say some of the mpg figures mentioned here seem very poor, I have the 1.5dci and it's always in the high 50's mpg, I'm happy with that.
Even my 6yr old 1.8 diesel van averages 42mpg fully laden and It gets thrashed everywhere.

Re: Nissan qashqai j11 headlight led
I think you might struggle with the leds in an halogen headlight purely because the light pattern produced will be incorrect, they may appear to look ok from outside but beware, they could make it difficult to see the road at night and produce glare to on coming motorists. There are some great H7 st...
