Re: Service parts

I've used Crossland on my BMW (EuroCarparts). Cheap I think but do the job. EuroCarparts gets much stuff from Germany. I note the German parts suppliers often mention that they supply the likes of BMW etc. Bosch being one and that covers a multitude of items including Brakes, Electrical/Electronic a...

Re: Speed camera

I assume its a Connect box you have Andy - 2016 car? Non Android/CarPlay look. If so there is a selection in the Nav menu for Points of Interest (POI). A rather lame version of POIs exists for Speed Cameras and can be loaded by manually configuring a minimal Excel file. Look through this thread: htt...

Re: Connect screen gone white

Shouldn't think the dealer would know whats wrong exactly anyway. £3k is looney tunes for that ICE box. It might be a good time to consider the project that was undertaken here. Rid yourself of the weakness of Connect boxes After Market Double DIN Unit - OctaCore Android (circa £200 - £400) https://...

Re: Chassis control system fault

Thank you Colin. I managed to get an earlier appointment on Tuesday with Nissan. I will update the forum once there is a resolution. ok Nishal. Hope its a fairly simple problem. Whatever it is has put you car in limp (home) mode and throw scary fault lights up. But thats what they do. All the best ...

Re: Chassis control system fault

Any garage might be able to download the codes...depends on what Code Scanner they have. Not the cheap DIY type for sure. However, translating the codes to positive faults can be problem for them. If its a purely mechanical braking fault they might possibly fix it. Checking brakes for correct operat...

Re: Chassis control system fault

Nishal: Difficult to say what the problem is exactly. It needs the error codes (DTCs) to be downloaded from the car. As a guess I'd say the braking system (ABS) has a problem. That will cause both the ABS and Body stability symbols to show and very likely limit the revs (speed) of the car. Might be ...

Its free unless the head unit is faulty. If anybody is attempting to charge you call Nissan HQ and complain. They will arrange it.

Re: Issue with 66 plate 1.2 DIG-T QASHQAI

Looks like the car is out of warranty Alex. I'd ask a Nissan dealer anyway and what they thought was wrong....if at all? Steering whirring noises on full lock in my experience were due to the power assisted steering (hydraulic) pump. The steering reaches its end stop and the pump is pumping against ...

Re: Bluetooth issues

You can have plenty of phones registered and pre-paired in the head unit (ICE) but the selection of a phone is manual (priority). Any incoming call to an unselected phone that is present in the vehicle will ring that phone...not through the head unit to the speakers though.
